How GolfN Plays-Like Data works

GolfN provides all advanced plays-like data to all users of the app, whether they play golf on the free tier or with a membership.

You can click on the weather button top left to expand all your adjustments for details. Your yardage will be adjusted using:

• Wind direction and speed

• Elevation: shots played uphill play longer

• Temperature: balls fly farther in warmer temperatures

• Altitude: golf courses at higher elevation play shorter

The final "plays like" distance is calculated and shown here as well as the on the GPS screen, and a club is recommended based on your club's average yardage as inputted in your bag details. The plays like number is calculated twice, for the tee shot and approach shot, based on where the target from the tee.
