Regripping Your Collectibles Clubs
How regripping in the app works
If you do not have GolfN digital collectibles and instead have a traditional membership, you don't need to worry about regripping. It is all calculated automatically for you when you play.
Regripping is how you maintain the endurance of your NFT clubs in the GolfN app. Each time you play a round with an digital collectible, it uses up endurance — and a portion of your earned points are set aside to cover the regrip.
How It Works
Regripping costs = 12% of the points earned in a round.
These points are held in escrow — meaning they can’t be used or withdrawn until you regrip the club.
Regripping restores one unit of endurance for that NFT.
Cost Breakdown by Rarity
Each NFT has a regrip weight based on its rarity. When multiple collectibles are used in a round, the total regripping cost is split proportionally by weight.
Common
1
Uncommon
2
Rare
3
Epic
4
Legendary
5
Example: Epic + Uncommon
You play a round using:
1 Epic NFT
1 Uncommon NFT
You earn 1,000 points
12% = 120 points total regripping cost
Regrip weight total: 4 (Epic) + 2 (Uncommon) = 6
Epic: 4/6 of 120 = 80 points
Uncommon: 2/6 of 120 = 40 points
Per-Endurance Tracking
Each point of endurance lost stores its own regripping cost. Let’s walk through a scenario.
Scenario: Legendary NFT
First round:
NFT endurance: 4/4 → 3/4
Earned: 300 points → 12% = 36 points
Cost to regrip 1 unit = 36 points
Second round:
NFT endurance: 3/4 → 2/4
Earned: 250 points → 12% = 30 points
Cost to regrip 1 unit = 30 points
Total to restore back to 4/4 = 66 points (36 + 30) Each unit is tracked individually.
Summary
Regripping keeps the GolfN economy balanced and fair.
You earn freely, but maintaining collectible endurance takes strategy.
All regripping costs are transparently tracked and held in escrow until used.
