GolfN App Frequently Asked Questions

Is GolfN Free to use?

Yes, all of GolfN's features, from GPS, plays-like and arc target features to advanced scoring and analytics are free to use for anyone.

What courses does the GolfN app work on?

GolfN is available worldwide on 40,000+ golf courses. For courses with poor cellular service, GolfN will soon introduce "offline mode" that enables golfers to still be able to use the app and earn.

I noticed a course was missing or had inaccurate data in the app. What do I do?

Submit a bounty and if it's a correct update you will be rewarded with points!

How are the GolfN "Plays Like" yardages calculated?

GolfN factors in wind speed, direction, elevation chance, altitude and temperature of every shot to give you the most accurate yardage possible.

What can I do with my rewards?

Keep an eye out in the app for redemption windows for the GolfN Pro Shop. You will be able to convert your points into golf gear. You can also use points to enter sweepstakes in the Portal. And keep an eye out for the $GOLF token coming later that lets you export and trade your points on the open market.

Why does GolfN need to use my location?

GolfN uses your location to verify you played the entire course and to also give accurate GPS services of the courses you play.

What are GolfN Collectibles?

GolfN Genesis Collectibles are NFTs stored on the Solana Blockchain. Because they are NFTs, each has unique metadata that can be used to collect, trade, and earn points in the GolfN ecosystem.

How do I get GolfN Collectibles?

You can collect them on official marketplace listings.

Are self-custody crypto wallets safe?

Great question, they can be targeted by scams like bank accounts or credit cards. But the good news is that the vast majority of GolfN actions are taken off chain and conducted through your account that is synced with an email address. Like all consumer brands, GolfN is sometimes targeted by imposters, so always double check to see communications about GolfN are coming from official channels.

Is there smart watch support?

Support for Apple Watch and other wearable devices are on the roadmap and will be added soon.

Do I have to keep score in the app to earn rewards for the round?

You do not have to use the app at all to earn points and what you shoot doesn't affect what you earn. You can simply start the round on the first tee and end it on the 18th green and the app will verify you played all the holes based on your location.

How are completed rounds verified in the app?

When you tee off using GolfN, the app detects your location and tracks your movement across the course. It will detect using this data that you played 18 holes over a given time period to confirm you played the course and award points.

In order to verify paid rounds, you must also use a digital golf ball, or have a membership that includes digital golf balls.

What happens if I do not finish my 18 hole round? Do I still earn?

Yes, you'll get a portion of the earnings. Let's say you play 14 holes. You'll earn 14/18 worth of points. 9 hole rounds burns half a digital golf ball, anything beyond 9 holes burns a full digital golf ball.

Can I play side games and bet with friends on GolfN?

GolfN is currently in Open Beta and these features are in development. You can check the Feature Map in the GolfN app for the status.

How do I get $GOLF tokens with my GolfN points?

The GOLF will be minted by Axiom Foundation. Once it is live, you will be able to export your GolfN points for the GOLF token to trade on the open market. Stay tuned for when that is enabled by Axiom.

Can I Delete rounds or stats?

Yes, to delete a round, go to your round history. see here for details

I submitted a round and my score is incomplete. Can I change it?

Yes, you can go to your round history, click on the round and edit scorecard and advanced statistics. Your score and stats will update automatically at next App Refresh. Keep in mind if you submitted your score to GHIN it will not be updated there.

How do I connect with Friends?

You can add each other by searching for their names or usernames in the app's search field. GolfN is working to add additional smart-search funcionatlities to add your contacts as friends in the app.

Can I follow someone's round live?

Yes, you can receive push notifications of friends who just teed off in the app. Make sure push notifications are enabled in the GolfN app in your device settings.

How do I cancel a membership?

You can manage your membership from your "billing and subscriptions" link in your profile.

Can I upgrade an existing membership?

If you purchased an annual plan, get in touch with a GolfN team member to upgrade your membership. If you purchased monthly, you can update your membership at the next cycle.

How do I return a Pro Shop item?

How long does it take to receive a Pro Shop item I ordered?

It depends on the item, but it ships usually within 1-2 business days. However, custom or drop-shipped items, or items currently on backorder by the manufacturer will take longer. GolfN customer service will communicate these delays if applicable.

How can I report content on the app?

You can report user-generated content in the social feed by clicking on the three dots in the top right of their post and you can report, block or hide the user from your feed.
